Zünd UK and its OEM partner Canon are gearing up for their annual autumn open house, being held at Zünd’s newly refurbished demo suite in St Albans from 24-25 September 2014.
Zünd will demonstrate its S3 digital cutter: a compact, modular cutting table with automated material handling for substrates up to a maximum thickness of 25mm. It will also preview the latest versions of its PackZ and Prepare-it software, which will both be released in October.
Canon, which sells Zünd’s S3 and G3 cutters under its Océ ProCut brand, will show its Océ ColorWave 650 poster printer and Océ Arizona UV flatbed printer at the two-day event.
The S3 is Zünd’s compact cutting table, which features automated material handling for substrates up to 25mm thick, while the G3 features automated cutting and trimming on substrates up to 50mm thick. Both devices feature a modular design, with a wide variety of options for bed size, material handling and tools.
The Océ ColorWave 650 is a 1067mm-wide poster and POS printer with capacity for up to six media rolls and the ability to print up to 155 A1 prints per hour. The Océ Arizona is a flatbed UV printer with a maximum print area of 2500 x 3050mm and a maximum print speed of 155sqm/hr.

The two-day open house with Canon will be a chance to see the equipment in action but also to see applications up close, ask experts questions and to catch up with others in the industry.’
