Wilec exhibited the Promattex Uniktouch Laser Transfer Paper, which can be used on garments such as cotton, lycra, polyester and leather, at the Sign Africa and FESPA Africa expo. The event took place from 12-14 September.
The product’s ‘Uniktouch’ can be compared to the direct to garment or screen printing process. The self-weeding product features good resistance to washing up to 40°C. The easy transfer process only requires positioning of the print for an initial 20 seconds on a heat press at 165°C with medium pressure. When the image is peeled off, the adhesive stays behind. This is followed by a final press of five seconds to increase the product’s durability. Users can also create eye-catching hot foil effects on black or any coloured garments.
