Trotec has been honoured with a 2016 iF design award for the SP3000 large format laser cutter. The SP3000 represents the largest of a series of large format industrial laser cutters for processing acrylics, wood or textiles and features several newly developed technological highlights.
Due to the distinct and open design of the V-shaped body, the working area of 2.2m by 3.2m is easy to access from all four sides and allows economical loading and unloading even during processing.

A thoughtful design can make an important contribution: good usability and superior ergonomics lead to a more efficient workflow and as a consequence, more profitability for our customers. The fact that we won the iF award is special to us,’ said Andreas Penz, Managing Director, Trotec Laser GmbH.
The iF International Forum Design GmbH is located in Hannover and has honoured exceptional designs since 1954. During 2016, almost 5300 entries from more than 50 countries reached the committee. Companies like Samsung, LG, Sony, Ferrari and Audi were among the award winners.
