Trotec has extended its engraving material range with TroGlass acrylic sheets, available in various colours and surface finishes. The range allows the user to highlight products and applications, cut to the size of the laser and is cast for optimal hardness and durability.
TroGlass is a heavy-duty, cast acrylic with different finishes from gloss to matte and coarsely textured. In particular, TroGlass Frosted with a textured surface, combined with the typical hardness of cast acrylic, allows for applications that require high material strength and durability.
Acrylic is often used for illuminated advertising, backlit POS displays and design elements in interior architecture. TroGlass provides a uniform light transmission, which even surpasses that of coloured glass. The TroGlass LED product is optimised for the specific features of LED light waves.
Acrylic is usually processed with a laser. The laser cut produces crystal-clear and polished cut edges without additional processing of the materials. The standard sheet size of TroGlass is 1245 x 616mm, which can also be halved, quartered or individually cut. This facilitates storage, and sheet sizes that are optimised for laser machines, minimising unused waste material.
