Toshiba Showcased New Printhead At Drupa

Toshiba showcased its new high-speed and high-productivity CX1 inkjet printhead at drupa, which took place in Düsseldorf, Germany from May 28 – June 7.

Featuring a droplet size capacity of up to 16 pL at 47 kHz, the CX1 model has the highest productivity per nozzle among commercially available printheads with an equivalent minimum droplet size, based on internal market research conducted in February 2024.

Additional features include optimised ink channel design for stable jetting at high frequencies. The new driver circuit enables high-speed driving waveform with low power consumption. Studies show that the power consumption of the CX1 model can be reduced significantly compared with that of the CF3 model for the same level of productivity output.

It was also announced that Toshiba’s TEC Corporation Inkjet Business Group will become RISO Technologies Corporation, a group company of RISO KAGAKU CORPORATION, effective 1 July 2024.
