The Paper Plot has launched SIHL large format inkjet media for glossy prints with metallic effect.
Metallic effects are often used today as an eye catcher in high quality advertising media and packaging. In the eco-solvent ink sector, digital printing has recently introduced white and metallic inks which can be optimally used thanks to the high visual quality that is achieved.
Exquisite art reproductions on canvas as well as backlits are making increasing use of such effects. One way of producing contoured metallic prints for the advertising sector is with the new Roland VS-640. The RIP software that comes with the printer recognises files in an image processing programme that features shiny effects. It also includes a library with 512 metallic colours including gold and bronze. The Paper Plot offers a range of media that provides excellent printing results on the Roland VS-640.
