Summa showcased its latest developments and innovations at Fespa London 2013, which took place from 25-29 June. The dedicated Summa team showed numerous applications and various kinds of materials were cut with the multiple quick-change cutting tools of the flatbed cutting table F1612, including corrugated cardboard, foamboards, vinyl, rigid paper composite board, banner etc.

Summa’s newest tool, the Pneumatic Oscillating Tool (POT) was extensively demonstrated on the show. The POT, powered by compressed air, moves the knife up and down over a stroke of 8 mm with a frequency of maximum 150Hz. Material up to 25mm thick can be cut. The robust construction of the tool makes it suitable to cut thick and tough boards such as honeycomb, corrugated cardboard and foam boards. Also some soft foams and rubbers can be cut with adjusted speeds.

Other F-Series tools were also demonstrated, such as: the Electronic Oscillating Tool (EOT), the creasing and V-cut tools, the kiss cutting tool and other cutout tools. Not only did the numerous visitors at the Summa stand show interest in the F-Series flatbed cutting system; also the renowned professional contour cutters, Summa S Class 2 and SummaCut and the DC4 thermal transfer printer-plotter also generated interest.
