Sign-Tronic owner Adrian Wolman said all of the company’s customers in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) that were affected by the unrest last week are up and running with their operations again, as Sign-Tronic had set up a contingency plan to keep all customers productive.
‘We have witnessed the amazing spirit of compassion and unity with our customers in KZN, and we have made sure all those affected are in production again,’ said Wolman.
‘Fortunately, Sign-Tronic has three separate facilities in KZN, reducing risk for continued supply of machines, spare parts and inks in the region. Our machine supplier is swissQprint, and a separate production line has been set up to produce new replacement machines immediately. South Africa is an important growth market for swissQprint in both high speed flatbed and roll-to-roll machines.’
Wolman has also seen a strong sense of unity among businesses, with companies assisting their competitors with their production and operations.
