Sign Africa Reports Increased Visitor Attendance At Durban Expo

The Sign Africa Durban Expo was a huge success, with 1292 visitors attending the event (a 21% increase from the 2013 Expo, which had 1073 visitors) and exhibitors reporting good leads and sales on the day.

Highlights included:

Platinum Expo Sponsor Roland showcased the newly-launched VersaEXPRESS RF-640.

Platinum sponsor Avery Dennison exhibited its Supreme Wrapping Film with new finishes, including a Satin finish in black, white, Carmine Red, Bubblegum Pink and new Blue Chrome, as well as the Carbon Fibre Supreme wrap in black and white.

X6 Digital launched its X6 LED UV Printer that can print directly onto hard substrates such as Chromadek, sheetfed and uncoated media.

Graphix Supply World exhibited the new Mimaki JV300-160 solvent/dyesub inkjet wide format printer, seen for the first time in Durban.

Falcon introduced the Mitsubishi Cast Acrylic, Gravograph Engraving material and the new Hexis Supercast range.

Digifab showcased the Diptex J4, an 1800mm printer powered by four Ricoh Gen 5 print heads and which is suitable for solvent or dye sublimation.

Judges visited each stand at the expo and judged the stands according to criteria based on design and staff friendliness and professionalism. The stand winners and runners up include:
