Sign Africa Cape Town Expo Excites Visitors With Business Opportunities

Over 1050 visitors responded with enthusiasm in attending the Sign Africa Cape Town Expo that took place from 11-12 May at the CTICC, arriving from all parts of the region, including Swellendam, Somerset West, Knysna, George, Oudtshoorn, Wellington, Kraaifontein and further afield from Walvis Bay and Maseru. The event was an ideal platform for solutions to Connect, Diversify and Grow businesses, with many attendees wanting to start or grow their companies.

Gareth James from Wrap Master was crowned the Cape Town Speed Wrap King, winning a trip to compete in the Speed Wrap Challenge at the 2016 Sign Africa and FESPA Africa expo in Johannesburg. As part of the prize, the business owner of Wrap Master won a weekend away for two. The Speed Wrap Challenge is hosted by platinum sponsor Roland, vinyl sponsor Grafiwrap and silver sponsor Graphix Supply World.

Printing SA hosted an informative Members Forum, which discussed topics such as: Training in the Printing and Packaging Industry; introducing the New Digital Print Training Programme; apprenticeships in the Printing and Packaging Industry and Printing SA’s skills Pool.

Exhibitors took the opportunity to showcase new products to customers and meet new customers from the region. Feedback about the event was positive:

‘We had a good show. We noticed that a lot of people that come past our stand are industry start-ups. We are very glad to have exhibited for brand awareness purposes,’ – Kemtek.

‘This was a great show and we were very busy with a lot of new and very interested customers who want to venture into the LED signage business,’ – Exion.

‘We had a good show and a lot of people were interested in our way finding solutions,’ – Red Hand Sign Supplies.

‘We were very pleased with the show and the turn out of visitors. Most of all, we made the right choice in terms of what we chose to exhibit at this particular show. Our stand was very busy and a lot of people showed interest in our mug printer and stamp maker, it seemed like they sparked ideas for business opportunities,’ – JG Electronics.

‘As first time exhibitors, this was a great show for us. We are definitely looking forward to the Johannesburg exhibition,’ – Kolok.
