Roland showcased the new PRO4 XR-640 printer at viscom Frankfurt, which took place from 25-27 October.

The XR-640 is equipped with the latest dual print heads, which fire droplets of seven different sizes to optimise image quality for the specific media and print resolutions selected. The XR-640’s print control technology, high performance print heads and ECO-SOL MAX2 inks draw out every detail for unsurpassed image quality. Ink adhesion has been drastically improved through the fine tuning of Roland’s ink chemistry, precise head control and drop placement. This allows for high-density coverage as well as deep, rich colours that can create subtle nuances within the image.

The company also showcased a prototype of the new Roland LEJ 640F flatbed printer. The 163cm (64″) machine prints CMYK, white and clear coat on virtually any substrate up to a 1.3cm (0.5”) thick. With the LEJ-640, you can print white on a variety of clear and coloured media for text and graphics that stand out.
