Ricoh and LG have extended their European ultra-high definition display technologies partnership with next-generation curved screen OLED display technology.

These screens offer superior image quality as well as being more energy efficient, lighter and thinner, reproduce excellent colour quality, offer a wide viewing angle, and response times hundreds of times better than older technologies.

The agreement between the companies will provide companies of all sizes and sectors with access to crystal-clear displays for everything from smart meeting spaces to digital signage solutions through a single trusted partner with global resources.

Jacques van Wyk, CEO of Ricoh SA said, ‘OLED is the technology of choice for the latest devices such as smartphones, tablets, PCs for high-end users like graphic designers, photographers, videographers and other professionals.’

Ricoh uses the displays across its Communication Services portfolio of devices that include smart boards which use other advanced technologies such as IBM’s Watson artificial intelligence (AI), collaboration and connectivity apps, and portable projectors, multifunction printers, and IP phones.

David Mills, CEO of Ricoh Europe, said the agreement reflects the two organisations’ common drive for innovation and supports Ricoh’s drive to empower digital workplaces.

Kyongho Kim, President of LG Business Solutions Europe, said, ‘We’re proud to collaborate with such a reliable and conscientious partner. Together, we can offer customers the most innovative solutions for all of their communications needs. The future promises to bring great advances, both for the partnership and for our customers.’
