Reg Pakari, a specialist in creating vehicle templates and preparing artwork for vehicle wrapping, will be talking about ‘The Art of Vehicle Wrapping’ at FESPA Africa (2-4 July 2014) at Gallagher Convention Centre. Pakari’s talk will take place on the 2nd of July at the show’s technology conference area in Hall 2-B41.
At the conference, Pakari will outline the eight key steps in the vehicle wrapping process such as: taking a brief from a client, estimating costs, creating an accurate vehicle template, developing a creative design, preparing the design for production, producing the graphics, finishing and finally application and taking final photos.
As a designer at a leading vehicle wrapping company, Pakari played an integral part in developing and implementing efficient design and pre-production workflow processes between 1998 and 2005 while advocating respect, teamwork and collaboration between applicators and designers.
Over the past 10 years, he has also helped sign companies to successfully brand fleets of vehicles through consultation and personalised onsite training. Realising the need for skills development in the field of vehicle wrapping, Pakari has developed a skills training programme that targets the challenges faced by sign companies. ‘Experienced applicators agree that a successful vehicle wrap is only possible if artwork is prepared properly,’ said Pakari.
