Project Of The Week- Metro Plastics

Metro Plastics recently showcased different items produced from its ACRYLUX cast acrylic product for display purposes at a locally-held exhibition.

The company’s Kuben Pakkri explained that ACRYLUX’s most common applications are for sign manufacturing, and the fabrication of point of sale (POS) items.

‘Our inspiration and designs are based on regular questions asked by sign manufacturers and inspired by international trends where acrylics are used in creative marketing and design concepts,’ he said.

He added that the use of LED lighting with ACRYLUX ‘smart colour’ enhanced acrylics create striking, vibrant and bold three-dimensional signs, and are particularly popular designs. ‘ACRYLUX cast acrylic is versatile and designs are limitless based on one’s imagination and creativity.’

‘Our translucent white, opal and colour range is manufactured for modern LEDs, which enhances its core colour from within the acrylic. This lends to a better optical illustration for full colour prints on the opal range and colour consistency on the coloured range. Our range of clears, fluorescents and tints are very popular due to their clarity. The standard conventional range of colours have now been replaced by our ACRYLUX enhanced colour range.’
