CEO of Printing SA, Steve Thobela, is pleased to announce the outcome of Printing SA’s restructuring process, which is aimed at further supporting its organisational strategy.
Ken Leid who has served as the Director of the Cape Chamber for over 18 years, has been appointed in the newly created position of Director: National Training and Development. Leid’s experience in the training environment dates back to 1990 in the days of the Training Board (PNPIETB) and his role in developing and implementing competency based modular training. Leid is currently qualifying as a Quality Development Facilitator (QDF) with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) to lead the organisation and the Industry into the future in so far as quality education and training is concerned.
‘Training is one of the four core functions of Printing SA and it plays a vital role not only to Printing SA’s offerings to members but also in the economy of this country. It is for this reason that we believe that it has to be led at the highest strategic level of the organisation,’ said Thobela.
Another strategic appointment is that of Zama Zulu as Marketing Manager. Zulu was initially appointed as Marketing Officer for Two Sides South Africa in July 2014. She will now take on the additional responsibility of heading the Marketing portfolio at Printing SA.
Lydia Davids has been appointed Cape Chamber Manager. She will be responsible for the administration and strategy implementation for the Cape Chamber covering Cape Town and Port Elizabeth including the Northern Cape, George and surrounding areas. The Cape Chamber has further been strengthened by the appointment of Craig Winkler to the position of Member Services Consultant – Cape.
Shallon Mphasane will take on additional responsibilities as National Training Administrator and will report directly to the Director: National Training and Development.
Earlier this year, Itumeleng Mashao was appointed as Trainee Commercial and Technical Manager to take over from Louise Moralee, who will be retiring at the end of 2015 after 19 years of service. The Accounts team was strengthened with the appointment of Kgololosego Masia to the position of Debtors Clerk.
