Personalised Image Printers recently installed a Homer Cotton Textile Printer HM 1800-S, which is currently configured to use four MH54 Ricoh Gen 5 Series print heads.

Owner Sean Levy said it will revolutionise the industry with its ability to print onto cotton, poly cotton, and many more fabrics in a timeous fashion.

The company has a history spanning more than twenty years and a range of specialties including direct to garment, heat transfer, full colour transfers, specialised 3D hot melt printing, stickers, vinyls, banners, doming, pad printing, laser engraving, screen printing, button badges, stamps and full colour transfer to mugs

‘There is a growing demand for cotton printing,’ said Levy. ‘It can be achieved through the machines in our factory, but our clients want something larger and to make up items using a process similar to that of dye sublimation. What dye sublimation provides we can now offer onto cotton.

‘After searching for a direct-to-cotton machine for three years, we discovered Homer, which offers a host of different types of printers, from UV and full cotton to dye sublimation, silk screen and direct-to-garment. I went to the factory and was amazed. Our staff have received full training and are now producing for our clients and CMT factories alike.’

The company offers different post-treatments like flame retardant and stain resistant treatments, which provide an additional health and safety feature for personal protective equipment, such as for overalls that petrol attendants wear.

The machine can print on a large range such as shirts, aprons, table cloths, furniture, curtains, bedding and sportswear.
