Nipson unveiled its latest developments, including details on the world’s fastest powder-based security toner-based system, at the FESPA Africa and Sign Africa Expo, which took place from 22-24 July at Gallagher Convention Centre.
At the heart of discussions as the Nipson Technology brand representative in Africa were updates on areas such as magnetography, which is printing technology based on the principle of hard-drive writing mode. Laboratory testing has already achieved speeds of up to 150m/min and 300m/min.
‘One of the key talking points was Nipson’s latest machine under development. This is focused for implementation into any tight web press wanting one-stop printing using colour with variable data, with the machine not slowing down,’ said Le Grange. ‘This is the world’s fastest, powder-based toner-based system that also does UV fluorescent toner as an add-on feature, which is particularly powerful for security feature printing.’
