With the recent purchase of a Mutoh XpertJet 1462UF, Graph!cD’SIGN entered the UV-Direct to Object (DTO) printing market. This not only allows them to print directly on a variety of materials and objects up to 15cm, but the investment also meant immediate independence from previous outsourcing.
Graph!cD’SIGN bvba was the first company in Belgium to install a Mutoh XpertJet 1462UF DTO flatbed printer. Graph!cD’SIGN was founded in 2012 and has been using Mutoh digital printing technology since the very beginning, initially with a second-hand Mutoh ValueJet 1614. Later, the company invested in a Mutoh ValueJet 1624X sign and display printer. In 2019, a new generation XpertJet 1641SR was added. To meet the growing demand for high-quality posters, banners and signs, they also invested in a Mutoh XpertJet 1341SR.
‘After a convincing demonstration at Mutoh Europe in Ostend, we chose the XpertJet 1462UF because of its 700 x 1400mm print bed, the print height up to 15cm and the versatile possibilities with white and varnish inks,’ said Bart Leys, director and owner of Graph!cD’SIGN.
‘We use the printer for a wide range of applications, including printing rigids, personalised corporate gifts, all kinds of packaging mockups, small batch packaging, printing special effects on stickers and labels and last but not least, now that we can print on objects up to 15mm, all printable objects our customers ask us for.’
