With this certification, Mutoh US-11 series inks meet the UL 2818-2013 Gold Standard for chemical emissions for building materials, finishes and furnishings. The certification provides assurance that the US-11 series inks meet some of the world’s most stringent and comprehensive standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into indoor air. As such, prints made with US-11 inks are suited for indoor applications including office, classroom and healthcare environments.
Greenguard Gold Certification is a voluntary certification issued by UL Environment with worldwide recognition. As opposed to Greenguard, it offers stricter certification criteria and considers safety factors to account for sensitive individuals such as children and the elderly. It requires lower total VOC emissions for indoor environments and helps print buyers to identify and integrate certified, healthier and more sustainable products into their buildings.

The Mutoh US-11 C, M, Y, K, White and Varnish flexible UV LED inks were specifically developed for Mutoh’s extensive range of UV LED printers for roll-to-roll, hybrid and flatbed applications (ValueJet 1638UR, ValueJet 1638UH, ValueJet 426UF and ValueJet 626UF).
The inks are 0% VOC and non-HAP inks, meaning no special ventilation nor air purification is required in the working environment. Available in 220ml cassettes, 800ml (CMYK, VA) and 500ml (WH) packs and offering an ideal adhesion, the inks enable printing on the widest range of media including heat sensitive, transparent and non-white substrates. They also allow multi-layer and spot varnish printing.
