Midcomp has been appointed as a distributor of SENFA’s Decoprint textile media for Southern Africa. The company will sell SENFA’s full product range of frontlit, backlit and block-out products, as well as speciality products, such as gold and silver textured materials that are suitable for luxury stores and high-end boutiques.
‘Midcomp has a business dedicated to consumables. They were looking for quality products that fit in with their machine offerings, such as HP Latex, and they wanted media that is latex compatible,’ said Colm Garvey, Sales Manager at SENFA. ‘Our high quality backlit film, PEARL, is available up to 5m wide and is perfect for latex printing and UV curing printers. Midcomp and SENFA have a common goal of offering high quality textiles, which look classier than other media, especially when backlit. We see Midcomp as a great potential partner. SENFA’s in-house R&D department work closely with all parts of the supply chain to optimise products for printing, be it with solvent, UV, Latex or water-based inks. The media meets the most stringent fire retardant standards, is strong and holds its shape and is available in different textures for smooth to structured for different effects.
The textile bases and coatings meet environmental requirements for the digital printing market, with water and acrylic based coatings (PVC-free), compliance to the European REACH directive and the PEARL product certified to Oeko-Tex 100 Standard.
