Brand Boys, a Midcomp customer who have an HP Latex 335 print and cut unit on Midcomp’s PPUGRO programme, have won Midcomp’s ‘I Love My HP Latex’ competition.
For the competition, print service providers needed to submit descriptions of their best application printed on their HP Latex printer to stand a chance of winning a media bundle worth R15,000, excluding VAT. The bundle includes Midcomp Consumables’ 170g poster paper (1370mm x 50m), Midcomp Consumables’ self-adhesive label paper (1000mm x 50m), as well HP Brilliant White Matt Vital Vinyl (1370mm x 50m), Drytac ReTac Matt Wall Vinyl (1370mm x 50m) and Drytac Protac Floor Lamination (1370mm x 50m).
Although Brand Boys specialise in a variety of applications, Midcomp were most impressed with their retail projects and the wide colour gamut that was used in their prints. Brand Boys are a dynamic team with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Marnich Van Vuuren-Winterbach, director at Brand Boys, said, ’The application we submitted was mainly for the Skechers brand. We do all the branding for them in South Africa in all of their retail stores. We decided to enter the competition with this application as the colours and artwork were vibrant, trendy and funky, and we knew that it would draw attention.’
‘The HP Latex printer was not only perfect for this application, but it is perfect for any job. Without this printer, it wouldn’t be possible to deliver quality printing at an amazing turnaround time, get consistent quality prints and be able to brand a wide range of media for our clients such as PVC, vinyl, wallpaper, lightboxes, fabric and much more,’ added Van Vuuren-Winterbach.
