1791

Midcomp and 3M hosted informative live demonstrations and presentations at the Midcomp Innovation Hub in Randburg on 6 February.

Attendees were shown the capabilities of the new HP Latex 300 printer series. The HP Latex 360, HP Latex 330 and HP Latex 310 help sign shops, quick printers and small to medium PSPs to easily expand large-format printing capabilities, offer new application areas and build a healthier production environment. Designed for easy operation in small spaces, the entry-level HP Latex 310 Printer offers the benefits of HP Latex in a compact model with front-media loading to maximise the production area.

Lee Menzies, Market Application Specialist at 3M, gave an interactive vehicle wrapping demonstration. 3M also discussed some of their new Envision™ products.

3M continues to revolutionise wrap films with a breakthrough boost in attributes such as:
• Highly conformable: 3M Envision™ Wrap Films are conformable on demand, stretching up to 150% without lifting, and without primer.
• Can be installed in extreme temperatures.
• Faster removal: unlike cast vinyl, which can be more brittle and prone to tearing, these films feature greater tensile strength, so they resist tearing for faster and cleaner removal.
• Extremely durable: 3M Envision Wrap Films guard against UV rays, high temperatures, moisture and even acid dew, especially in horizontal and non-vertical applications.
