Metacast’s MCX wrapping material was used to enhance the aesthetic qualities of a Porsche.
Chris Griggs, MD of St. Ives (Cambridgeshire) based Absolute Wraps decided to wrap his Porsche in a colour-flip material, something that looks as though it’s morphing from one colour to another depending upon the viewing angle and prevailing light.
Metamark’s New Premium Cast Colour-Change Wrapping Film, MetaCast® MCX, ticks all the boxes in terms of specification, and a few that the game doesn’t usually consider, in particular, colour. In terms of the numbers, the swatch doesn’t have that many. The colours themselves though tell a very different story. They’re inspired by the OEM paint finishes of the world’s most desirable vehicles.
Colour on this occasion spoke to Griggs. Having leafed though the MetaCast® MCX Swatch, his eye alighted on one colour in particular. Griggs is a hugely experienced graphics professional and can trace his roots to the days when the modern sign and allied trades were born. He knows his films and has nothing but praise to shower upon MetaCast® MCX. Thanks to his decision to go the MCX route, the car now looks like a very proper pairing of a timeless design with a thoughtfully formulated contemporary paint colour.
