The Signs Express Supplier Of The Year Award award, which was presented at a convention event at the Genting Hotel, Birmingham, was delayed several times due to pressures and restrictions during the peak of the COVID pandemic.
Metamark’s Andy Clay and George Foster were there to receive the award on Metamark’s behalf from Signs Express MD, Jonathan Bean, and the company’s head of operations, Jeff Bufton. Andy Clay later commented, ‘It’s great to receive awards of course but this one from Signs Express is particularly valued. It represents the views of members of the Signs Express Network and any of the network’s suppliers is eligible to receive it.
‘When you consider that Signs Express is the UK’s largest sign company and has a network that covers the country, it reflects well on Metamark that we’ve won the network’s vote. Everyone at Metamark has a hand in maintaining the high standards for which we, and our customers hold the company accountable. So I’d like to thank Signs Express on behalf of all at Metamark and say that we’ll carry on working hard to be the best supplier we can possibly be.’
The physical embodiment of the award now resides in Metamark’s boardroom at the company’s manufacturing HQ in Lancaster where it rubs shoulders with quite a number of others that Signs Express has bestowed in years past. It serves as a potent reminder that Metamark has standards to maintain and that the company is trusted to supply an important customer network with time and performance critical supplies. Metamark’s goal remains living up to those high standards and improving at every opportunity.
