MaxLaser And Sign Africa Laser_Art Competition Winner Announced At Graphics, Print And Sign Expo
Winner Bradley Bowen, Raging Graphix, and Allan Hobbs, MaxLaser.

Bradley Bowen from Raging Graphix won a HEXA laser machine worth R120,000 for his laser art piece, which came in first place in the MaxLaser and Sign Africa Laser_Art Competition. The competition aimed to showcase what is possible with a laser machine.

Entrants were judged on originality, technical skills on design, technical difficulty on assembly, cutting, engraving and marking quality.

Judging took place at the Graphics, Print and Sign Johannesburg Expo, which ran from 14-16 September 2022 at Gallagher Convention Centre.

Bowen explained that much blood, sweat and tears went into the submission, also known as ‘Monkey Business’. ‘I probably put about 160 hours into it between the three of us – myself, my wife and my father – we all worked on the project together. It was a lot of fun. It was a great project. I’m proud, and I can’t explain how much it means to us to have won this competition.’

The event was sponsored by Platinum sponsors Roland DG South Africa and Stixo Signage Supplies.
