Maizey Plastics has announced new products for the signage industry, including paper board, vinyl colours, bags for hanging self-adhesive vinyl, a heat press, poster frames and a weeding tool set.
DISPA® canvas
DISPA® canvas is a multi-layer paper board, available in 3.8 mm thickness (5-layer). The sheets feature high-quality covering layers on both sides in a ‘canvas’ look. The 5-layer premium board with embossed core ensures a high-level of rigidity and flatness. DISPA® canvas is made of FSC®-certified paper, is fully recyclable and can be processed with ease. Thanks to the canvas texture, impressive visual effects can be realised and print quality is excellent. Application areas include: indoor promotion campaigns, high quality applications with a ‘canvas’ look for POS displays, short-term promotional signage, hanging or ceiling panels.
New colours in decorative Vinylefx™ range
Just in time for the festive season, Silver Metal Flake and a bright and bold Cherry Red are the new colours in the Vinylefx™ decorative series, which features a proprietary deep-embossing technology that provides a crisp three-dimensional appearance to each pattern. Vinylefx® Decorative Series is a vinyl, not a polyester, and no top coating is required prior to printing. The colours are also solid throughout the vinyl — not laminated or top coated, and unlike cold-embossed polyesters, these fade-resistant films are hot-embossed, which produces deeper and better defined patterns.
Vinylefx® prints, cuts, weeds and handles just like intermediate vinyl and is exceptionally suited for general purpose signage applications whilst adding a distinctive look, adding value and creating eye-catching designs.
Vinyl hanging bag for organising self-adhesive vinyl media
If your production room is bit of a mess, a solution is available to organise self-adhesive vinyl media. The Vinyl Hanging Bag fits 48 rolls of vinyl/heat transfer films in total (back to back) with clear pockets for easy colour identification. Hooks are included to hang it behind a door/wall or inside a cupboard on a rail, saving space. It supports up to 10kg. Length: 1320mm, width: 220mm, individual pocket width: 60mm.
SY380 Heat Press for HTV Transfers
The new SY380 Heat press has a 380mm x 380mm press area and is easy to operate with a digital time and temperature controller to guarantee accurate pressing conditions. The adjustable pressure control key supports different pressing needs and the heating pad ensures uniform heat dispersion. The SY380 Heat press is easy to clean with a long lifespan and high durability. It is Teflon coated with a temperature range up to 299 °C.
Lightweight ABS Kwik-Klik poster frames
These frames are robust, weatherproof, UV stable and sturdy, with built-in fixing points for quick, easy installation, with a strong clipping mechanism. The hexagonal ABS backing structure provides maximum strength and support and the frame units are also 100% recyclable. Tested and certified for three years of outdoor use. They are ideal for displaying posters and printed graphics.
Weeding tool set
This multi-purpose tool set is inexpensive and ideal for working with both self-adhesive vinyls and heat transfer media. It consists of two different weeding tools (straight and hook), reverse grip tweezer, scissors, spatula and a scraper.
Tool uses:
– Scraper and spatula: to clean paper, pick up crafts or prevent images from curling.
– Weeding tools: to remove all excess vinyl and heat transfer before application with the sharp point, which allows users to grab the vinyl and remove it.
– Tweezer: easily and quickly pick and lift crafts in one motion.
– Scissors: have a sharp blade and are small enough to do precise cutting of craft work.
Poli-Tape Heat Transfer Vinyls
For quick and easy transfers, these vinyls are used for hot stamping foils, fabrics like iron on labels, embroidered badges, leather decals and other decorative motifs. POLI-MELT TURBO 4900 is suitable for bonding different materials together by using pressure and heat. It is an ultra-thin ‘hotmelt’ adhesive on a silicone liner. Processing times: 130 °C, five seconds; 150 °C, four seconds; and 160 °C, three seconds at 2,5-3,0 bar pressure.
