Equipped with up to 12 SG600 Dimatix printheads, the Teckwin Shark TS 5000SF UV LED is a high-speed, high precision, super-wide roll-to-roll press with a maximum print width of 5 metres. It can run at speeds of up to 240 square metres per hour.
Just two months after installing its first Teckwin Shark TS 5000SF UV LED roll to roll printer from Magenta Vision, Opinion Printing has ordered a second system. The Polish printer, which combines technology and creativity to develop stand out banners, flags and point of sale solutions for an array of sectors, made the investment to reinvigorate its print production environment.
Marek Waliszak, CEO of Opinion Printing, explained the purchasing process, ‘We had been wanting to replace our production systems since the middle of last year. We therefore started to look for machines that combined profitability and good quality with cost efficiency. After taking all these criteria into account and shopping around, we opted for the TS 5000SF UV LED printer.’
The first printer was installed in July, in the middle of the global pandemic. Waliszak continued, ‘Our cooperation with Magenta Vison began at a very unusual time. There was already an epidemic in China and then there was a lockdown in Europe.’
But this situation did not stop the smooth collaboration between both companies. ‘Before we finally bought our printer, Magenta Vision gave us the opportunity to test the smaller 3.2m version of the Teckwin in our in-house production facilities. We also visited the CHESPA ink factory where the Magenta Vision inks are produced. The 3.2m printer proved to be very stable and it met with all our selection criteria, so we immediately knew Teckwin would make for the perfect solution.’
Once installed, the 5 metre Teckwin was immediately set to work and Waliszak is confident it will help Opinion Printing deliver, and even enhance, its services. He stated, ‘We know we can safely plan our production based on the capabilities and performance of the Teckwin. We are also able to print both economy and premium jobs on it, which provides us with flexibility and versatility.’
The efficient, straightforward cooperation and close working relationship with Magenta Vision was one of the reasons Opinion Printing invested in the second system. Waliszak added, ‘We were so delighted with the recently tested and acquired Teckwin printer that we decided to continue our ongoing investment with the installation of a second one, to be installed by the end of the year.’
Marek Waliszak concluded, ‘With both systems in our refreshed production environment, we expect to achieve increased flexibility, enhanced operating costs and greater reliability. This will enable us to build on our successful offering and grow the business, all while improving our response to the needs of our customers.’
Charles Poot-Baudier, Managing Director at Magenta Vision, commented, ‘We are delighted that Opinion Printing was so happy with its first printer that it chose a second one so rapidly. We are convinced the investment will help them continue the transformation of their print production environment with great success.’
