In celebration of both the Atomium (an internationally known iconic structure in Brussels, Belgium) and The Smurfs’ 60th birthday, Mactac (in collaboration with other parties) applied a giant Smurf’s head graphic onto one of its spheres.
Positioned 102m above the ground, the enormous Smurf’s head now on the 18m diameter sphere will be entertaining visitors until the end of the year.
For this highly challenging work, Dynagraph & Dizziness used a team of four experienced climbers. In three days, they were able to apply an image that is 9m wide and 14.5m high – all using Mactac digital printing and signage films.
