Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (‘Kongsberg PCS’) not only highlighted the power, performance and versatility of its Kongsberg and MultiCam solutions, but also emphasised how advances in state-of-the-art automation have streamlined the entire workflow.
Visitors to this year’s PRINTING United expo, which took place from 18-20 October in Atlanta, discovered how a combination of precision machinery, automation and integrated workflows is enabling manufacturers to achieve their goal of maximising productivity while optimising quality.
‘Manufacturers and converters are under increasing pressure to produce faster, safer, and more efficiently to meet the demands of the global market,’ said Matt Thackray, Vice President and GM Americas, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems. ‘The advancement of automation throughout the process continues to optimise manufacturing throughput and the quality of finished products. This is helping manufacturers achieve their goal of maximising productivity while optimising quality, essentially producing more, better and faster.
‘We have continued to evolve our hardware and software solutions, not only simplifying and improving the quality of the finished products, but also improving overall productivity and throughput by automating processes such as material handling,’ he said.
The world’s first diversified provider of digital finishing and CNC cutting machines demonstrated the capabilities of its flagship Kongsberg C64 system and its modular Kongsberg X24 table to visitors. A further Kongsberg X24 ran, where it formed the centre of a display for Ultimate Technographics.
