With the introduction of the new range of Forever transfer papers, you can now take custom decorating to the next level. The laser print process is not a replacement for sublimation but is an excellent add-on. JG Electronics will exhibit this technology at FESPA Africa and Sign Africa, taking place from 7-9 September at Gallagher Convention Centre.

Forever Transfer papers are available as follows.

1. Classic Plus: for white/light fabrics – CMYK printers. It is cheaper per sheet than inkjet white/light fabric transfer paper and works similarly.
2. Laserdark: for dark fabrics – CMYK Laser printers. This paper is one of the few that can be cut with a vinyl cutter to remove areas of white, then weeded and lifted off the backing sheet with application tape, before finally being pressed onto the shirt.
3. Multitrans: for glossy hard surfaces – CMYK and White Toner machines. Images printed on this paper can be transferred at temperatures of as little as 100 degrees Celsius, so you can
decorate items not possible with other transfer technologies. This paper is for items such as ceramics (including mugs), glass (drinking glasses, flat glass sheets, mirrors and so on), hard plastics (such as pens, rulers), metal sheets, hardboard and basically anything that’s glossy and hard.
4. Multitrans Gold/Silver for Monochrome, CMYK and White Toner machines. This can be used for the same products as the Multitrans with two major differences:
a. It can be printed with all the printers above
b. You print in black and when the transfer is complete, whatever was black on the print becomes gold or silver depending on the paper used. This means that you now essentially have a digital foiling system.
5. LaserDark A-foil + B-paper for CMYK and White Toner machines. This can be used on fabrics, Polyprop, canvas, paper, books, some leather, cards, serviettes, toilet paper, wide grain wood and so on.
6. No-Weed Flex + B-paper for Monochrome, CMYK and White Toner machines. The No Weed Flex film is available in a variety of colours, such as standard colours, white, metallic colours, gold, silver and neon colours. The No-Weed Flex allows you to produce details not possible with standard transfer vinyl on a wider variety of substrates.
7. Laser transparent and Laser Light. The Laser transparent is for CMYK laser printers and the Laser light is for the White Toner machines. It’s a paper for light/white fabrics, and leaves very little to residue behind in areas of white once transferred to the fabric. This paper is best used for solid graphics and logos.
8. Finishing papers – Flock and Foil. These papers are used after the print process with the Laserdark A-foil.
