J-Teck3 introduced Direct-to Polyester Inks at Fespa Digital 2014 (20-23 May, Munich). The Italian manufacturer of digital inks showcased the new J-Cube inks for printing polyester on machines with Kyocera and Ricoh heads.
The J-Cube RF and KF series, for sublimation-transfer printing, were launched at Fespa 2013 and are now complemented by direct-to fabric versions, J-Cube PK (Kyocera) and J-Cube PR (Ricoh).
Manufactured with the exclusive J-Teck’s Cluster Technology, these inks have been extensively tested on dedicated printers and represent J-Teck’s answer to the market request for high quality inks to suit the growing market of digital printers for industrial applications. The complete J-Teck range was displayed, including: J-Next Subly, suitable for Epson DX6 and DX7 print heads; the well-known J-Eco Line disperse dyes for direct and transfer printing on polyester and EPS System for double-sided printing in digital direct-to-fabric printing process.
The company also showcased J-MelaMine, a waterbased graphic pigment for large format industrial printers equipped with Kyocera heads. It has been studied for printing on melamine papers which cover panels and laminates. Melamine papers are made of very thin paper layers which are saturated with resins of different kinds.
After printing through a digital printer, they are used to produce panels and laminates and have an exceptional resistance to scratch and solvents. These main features of hardness and solidity, allow for melamine panels and laminates to be largely used in furniture and the home decoration industry such as furniture, walls and floors.
The ink is available in CMYK and features very good printability with Kyocera heads. Other characteristics are the exceptional light resistance and the very good colour saturation which allows for the production of graphics with vivid and bright colours.
