Innovia Films Launches Sustainable Wide Format Printable Film

Rayoart™ GWES is a 78-micron film that is available in both gloss and matt white.

It uses innovative new surface engineering technology so that it is printable by eco-solvent inks, UV and HP latex, and has a much lower carbon impact than alternatives currently being used in the market.

This new product has significant sustainability benefits versus PVC based media. The material has a 30% weight advantage over other film substrates of a comparable thickness. It also has a much lower carbon footprint and is free from plasticisers and chlorides, which makes this film an ideal alternative to monomeric PVC.

Bron Hekkema, Business Unit Director Graphics, said, ‘These next generation products give outstanding print results on all ink technologies. The exceptional finish enhances the images, producing a premium result. The four year outdoor durability and the ease of application of the films makes them a perfect alternative for PVC graphic applications.’
