Among the many machines Graphix Supply World (GSW) will be showing at FESPA Africa from 2-4 July this year are the Fujifilm Acuity LED 1600, Acuity flatbed F Series and the Acuity Advance printers.
Acuity LED 1600 printer:
The Acuity LED 1600 incorporates the cutting-edge technologies of the Fujifilm group, from the uniquely designed LED lamp unit to the high-precision/high-speed inkjet printhead and high-sensitivity UV ink.
Features such as the class-leading productivity of 20sqm/hr, high-quality from a wide colour gamut, smooth tonal gradations and the flexibility to print to a broad range of media up to 13mm thick allow customers to produce high value-added promotional tools, expanding your business into new markets.
The Acuity LED 1600 is equipped standard with Fujifilm spot colour management software. Employing sophisticated image processing technology, this software enables you to perform high-precision colour matching for logos and other exacting applications. Clear ink, standard on the Acuity LED 1600, provides a beautiful gloss and the one-pass system can print two or three layers in combinations of colour, white, and clear inks simultaneously in a single media run.
Acuity flatbed F Series printer:
The Acuity F Series is specifically designed for volume sign and display service providers, produces exceptional print quality at speeds of up to 155sqm/hr, and is available as a 6-channel or 7-channel model.
The printer maintains all the advantages of the popular and successful Acuity Platform, including near-photographic image quality, versatility and ease of use, but has been optimised for the efficient and high speed production of rigid media applications including irregularly shaped, heavy, smooth or pre-cut materials. It also allows for the production of multi-layered applications, double-sided or large prints over multiple boards in perfect register, and edge-to-edge printing.
A key feature of the Acuity F is the dual print zones, each with its own vacuum system which can be used independently to allow non-stop production as one board can be staged while the other is being printed.
It is equipped with an Automated Maintenance System (AMS) – a new feature in the Acuity range. The AMS cleans the device’s printheads in less than 25 seconds per colour, ensuring that the nozzles are clean and ready to print at any time, maximising productivity.
Acuity Advance Printer:
The Acuity Advance offers tremendous value and is acclaimed for its rich, opaque white ink. A variable droplet printer, the Acuity Advance is renowned for its exceptional image quality as well as sharp, clean text. Its 10.2cm x 20,3cm (4” x 8”) print area and small footprint make it the ideal entry point for the customer looking to add their first flatbed press. Like the other members of the Acuity series, it is available as a standalone unit or with the roll media option.
The Acuity Advance’s double sized print bed offers a larger degree of flexibility with the same high print quality. The print bed of 3.05m x 2.5m can be split into two sections for higher productivity and allows direct printing onto a wide variety of rigid or flexible media. This wide format printer delivers quality comparable to conventional printing resolution of 1440 dpi or higher with true production speed of 22.2sqm/hr and uses the FUJIFILM Sericol’s Uvijet series of premium inks.
