FUJIFILM Holdings has been recognised for its actions and strategies to reduce emissions and manage climate risks in its supply chain in the past reporting year. Over 4800 companies in total were assessed by CDP and given a Supplier Engagement Rating, based on answers to selected questions about governance, targets, scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement of their response to the CDP 2019 climate change questionnaire and their overall CDP climate change score.

FUJIFILM Holdings is among the top 3% of organisations assessed by CDP, and one of 159 companies on the Leaderboard this year. In this fiscal year ending March 2020 (FY2020/3), FUJIFILM Holdings was also named on ‘CDP Climate Change A List’ for its efforts against climate change, resulted in receiving the highest rank in two categories. CDP is a global non-profit that drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests.

FUJIFILM Holdings is actively promoting actions on climate change based on its strong belief, upheld since its foundation that ‘environmental conservation is at the core of Fujifilm’s corporate activities’. Under its CSR plan ‘Sustainable Value Plan 2030 (SVP2030),’ the company strives to reduce the CO2 emissions across the entire lifecycle of products and at the same time, contribute to CO2 emissions reduction in society by encouraging wider use of the company’s low-emission products and services.

For reducing the CO2 emissions across the entire lifecycle of products, SVP2030 sets the numerical target of ‘reducing CO2 emission across the entire lifecycle of Fujifilm products by 30% by FY2031/3 compared to the FY2014/3 level’. In FY2019/3, FUJIFILM Holdings has significantly reduced CO2 emissions by 22% from the FY2014/3 level. The company has been jointly working with its suppliers to act against climate change and holds conference and dialogues each year on CSR procurement, which is based on the Fujifilm Group Procurement Policy. FUJIFILM Holdings strives to reduce CO2 emissions across the entire product lifecycle from material procurement to product manufacturing, transportation, use and disposal.

FUJIFILM Holdings will continue to actively work toward resolving climate issues through strengthening partnership with its suppliers and promoting information disclosure through CDP and other organizations, thereby contributing to the establishment of a sustainable society.
