Visitors to FESPA Eurasia can look forward to the ARED Signage Demo Workshop, as well as the FESPA World Wrap Masters Eurasia.

The event will be held from 7-10 December 2017 at the CNR Expo in Istanbul, Turkey.

ARED’s signage workshop will take place four times a day for the duration of the show with a focus on traditional signmaking techniques. The line-up includes:

  • Sign painting, with demonstrations of the traditional art of signage using sheet metal, oil paints and brushes. Visitors to the workshop will also receive a personalised painted name sign.
  • Chrome lettering, where visitors can learn how they can produce eco-friendly, recyclable, EU-compatable lettering using chrome.
  • Making Plexiglas box letters, offering visitors tips on how they can produce stand-out box letters.
  • Pixel LED Workshop, illustrating how signmakers can make LED bulbs.

FESPA’s worldwide vehicle wrap event, The World Wrap Masters, returns to Eurasia with a workshop and live head-to-head competition. Sponsored by Hexis, the feature will run on all four days of the event. The workshops will take place on 7 and 8 December, hosted by World Wrap Masters judge Ole Solskin Ravn and the competition on the 9 and 10 December.

The workshop on 7 December will be relevant for entry-level vehicle installers and will provide visitors with top tips and the basic application techniques to get started in vehicle wrapping. During the session visitors will also have the opportunity to wrap part of a vehicle themselves.

For visitors with existing vehicle wrapping experience, the medium-advanced level workshop on 8 December will show the latest techniques and approaches to wrapping and will look in more detail at tackling difficult vehicle areas. The workshop will also highlight how installers can use less vinyl in less time to achieve the best results and improve profitability on wrap jobs.

On the final two days, the World Wrap Masters Eurasia competition will take place, culminating in the final on 10 December. During the competition up to 16 wrappers will battle it out wrapping a variety of objects including cars and helmets to win the title of Wrap Master Eurasia. The winner will be awarded a cash prize and the chance to compete in the World Wrap Masters Series Final that will take place at FESPA 2018 Global Print Expo in Berlin, Germany, from 15-18 May 2018.

Upcoming FESPA events include FESPA Africa, the region’s largest, focused exhibition for the wide format digital printing, screen printing, garment decoration and textile printing industry, which is co-located with Sign Africa and Africa Print, the region’s leading events for the signage industry. The event is taking place from 12-14 September 2018 at Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
