Dale Lowndes from NUtec demonstrated the NUtec NUcoat Aqua500UV-G on the Falcon stand at the Sign Africa Bloemfontein RoadShow.
The NUcoat Aqua500UV-G is a gloss UV stable single component, water-based, clear coat system which incorporates unique self-cross linking chemistry that improves the chemical and scratch resistance of the product surface. It contains UV stabilisers, prolonging the life of the print and is easy to apply and is suitable for Mayer-bar or regular pad application with good drying capabilities resulting in more efficient post processing.
It is compatible with most UV cured and solvent based inks with a very wide media compatibility. It adheres well to most rigid and non-rigid substrates. Aqua500UV-G has low blush or colour shift once applied to printed images and has good flow and leveling properties. It is possible to apply a second coat of Aqua500UV-G over the first coat, once it has dried, for enhanced protection of the graphic. It is best suited to flat sign applications (it is not recommended for vehicle applications).
