The garment feature at FESPA Africa, taking place 2-4 July at Gallagher Convention Centre, will be a hands-on workshop where printers can learn different techniques to decorate garments, from heat transfers, direct-to-garment (DTG) and screen printing applications including discharge and special effects, all taught by t-shirt print guru, Charlie Taublieb.

With over 38 years in the industry, Taublieb has experience in all aspects of the industry from designing facilities to solving technical problems. Taublieb will work on a 4-6 colour press, flash unit and heat transfer machine in the demonstration area.

Taublieb has worked in all aspects of the industry from designing facilities to resolving technical problems. He owned an award-winning automated screen-printing company in Brooklyn, New York and a screen-printing supply house in Denver, Colorado. He has consulted with small and large companies worldwide and is recognized as an expert in the textile screen printing field.

Taublieb has conducted workshops and seminars for over 33 years including those for FESPA, ISS Shows, SGIA Shows, DAX Shows and others in the US and abroad. He is a contributing writer for Screen Printing Magazine and several other industry publications in the US and overseas. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University and a member of the Academy of Screen & Digital Printing Technology.
