Expand a Sign donated 1000 Uzwelo bags to Little Fighters Cancer Trust, which supports children with cancer and their families. Little Fighters use these bags to make up Bags of Hope which are delivered to children’s hospital wards nationally.
Expand a Sign supports the Uzwelo Bags initiative that was launched in 2010 to help previously disadvantaged women from the Uzwelo community in KwaZulu Natal.
These women are provided with sewing machines and materials required to manufacture bags. Expand a Sign donates their fabric off-cuts from their banner-making business towards this initiative and further support this programme by buying bags to donate to underprivileged schools, government hospitals and other organisations.
