Epson And Kemtek Host Open Days Across South Africa

801

Epson and Kemtek wrapped up their national roadshow in Johannesburg on 15 November, where they showcased Epson’s leading wide format and digital label solutions as well as 3D printing products from Rapid 3D.

Among the product highlights showcased at the event was the new ColorWorks C7500 colour label printer. Aimed at customers for whom durable prints are key and who primarily want to print onto matte media, the C7500 is the ultimate in short-run colour label printing. Manufacturers can now reliably and cost-effectively meet their in-house labelling needs with outstanding speed and quality. The C7500 can also help eliminate the costs associated with pre-printing by producing short-run, customised labels on-demand.

Other product showcases included:

P-Series and signage large format printers

The SC-P10000 is an optimal solution for photo labs, photo and copy shops, print production houses and corporates looking for an in-house solution. In these highly demanding scenarios, users need a printer which yields prints of the highest quality and delivers exceptional productivity – at 600×600 and higher. As such, the SC-P10000 incorporates the new PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead to produce outstanding results, even in fast print modes. Users can be assured of its smooth operation with its high-precision media feed technology, including a newly developed camera-based paper feed stabiliser and media inductive roller system.

Vernon Mellors, LFP Business Account Manager at Epson South Africa said, ‘The SC-P10000 is ideal for high volume copy shops that need to print at superfast speeds, without compromising on quality. Our customers’ needs continue to evolve and so it’s essential for us to expand our portfolio and technologies to fulfil their requirements.’

3D printers

Markforged Mark Two

The Mark Two has two print heads. One builds nylon parts and the other is a revolutionary new composite print head to reinforce those parts with continuous fibre. By reinforcing your parts with composite fibre while 3D printing them, the Mark Two achieves unparalleled strength, stiffness and durability in its printed parts. In addition to printing nylon, the Mark Two prints materials that no other 3D printer can, like Carbon Fibre, Fibreglass and Kevlar.

Continuous fibre reinforced nylon parts can be used by packaging designers for rapid manufacturing as well as by Point of Sale designers and retail display units and FSU designers for short run/mass customisation promotions.

Zortrax M200

The Zortrax M200 carefully reproduces the dimensions of any 3D model, so you can print highly detailed elements, knowing that each copy is exactly the same. It can also print on a variety of materials.

Available materials for printing include: ABS plastic for printing concept models and mockups for display. The wide range of colours gives the ability to choose different material options for 3D printing gadgets, figurines, rapid prototyping and fully functional parts for Point-of-Sale, Retail Display Units and FSU applications.

Also showcased was the LFP T-Series with the advanced Epson MicroPiezo print head and breakthrough UltraChrome XD ink technology.
