D&K will introduce its 165cm wide format cutter at the Ipex expo, set to take place in Excel, London from 24-29 March 2014. Equipment launches include new models of the Europa B2 laminator.
At the show D&K will show the machine in-line with the Atlas MF165 laminator and configured to encapsulate prints. D&K Group has 35 years experience manufacturing equipment and films for Mounting, Laminating & Encapsulating.
First shown at IPEX 2010, the Europa B2 laminator has since racked up over 200 installations world-wide. Following its success new versions are being launched at IPEX 2014 on stand S1-G135.
The Europa B2 is now revised to take B2 sheet size, is compact fully automated lamination system based on the successful Jupiter range, With high pile feeder to maximise efficiency for longer run work and is equally adept at running litho or digital output. The machine has a heated steel top rollerand a rubber nip roller to croll in-feed roller to help feed lightweight and digitally produced sheets.
Europa PB will be the world launch of our new double-sided Europa. It will have two laminating stations, each with metal laminating roller and rubber nip roller to give the same result on each side of the sheet, ideal for Photobook applications. For increased flexibility it can be supplied for standard B2 size or with feeder lengths of 880mm, 950mm or 1050mm.
Europa EL has a standard laminating head and a further station for embossing or, potentially, higher pressure laminating, to allow either conventional single-sided lamination or laminating and embossing in a single pass.
Triton B1 laminator. Launched in 2011, this is however its first showing in the UK. Triton is available with either portrait or landscape feed and either as a Single-sided or Double-sided laminator.
Robin French, Managing Director said, ‘Our stand is adjacent to the ‘World of Wide Format’ so we decided to increase our stand space to include our new product launch of the 165cm Wide Format Cutter. We are hoping it will attract strong interest from that area. The cutter has been designed for horizontal and vertical cutting of wide format sheets, encapsulated, laminated or un-laminated. We will be demonstrating it in-line with the Atlas MF165 laminator and will be configured to cut encapsulated prints.’
The standard B2 Europa single-sided laminator, which was launched at IPEX in 2010, will be shown on the stand (S2-E190) of Encore Machinery, one of D&K’s UK distributors
