Cover Styl’ South Africa, a provider of architectural films, recently announced its global logo change. Cover Styl’, which has its head office based in Luxembourg, created a new logo, and Cover Styl’ South Africa added its local elements, which was approved by the parent company.
‘They are super excited about our logo, and so are we,’ said Cover Styl’ South Africa’s Darryl Curtis. The company is in the process of changing its marketing materials and generating interest on social media.
According to Curtis, every two years the Cover Styl’ brand has a complete new refresh, changing their whole corporate identity, as well as adding a new catalogue. This year’s catalogue has 489 colours across seven different categories, with around 80 new colours in the range.
‘What makes the product so special is that it is a thermoformable polymeric film, and it fits in the middle of the vinyl spectrum, between 250-350 microns thick. There are more plasticisers in it than a normal polymeric, it is very soft when applied with a heat gun, like jelly, allowing it to be formed around edges, and it also has an aggressive adhesive. We also have adhesive promoters like a solvent-based primer for hard surfaces and a water-based one for porous surfaces,’ added Curtis.
At the recent Sign Africa Expo, the company’s stand was built out of MDF (commonly known as superwood), using a body-filler to fix up the joins, with a water-based primer, which was then wrapped entirely in Cover Styl’s material. Maizey Plastics is an official distributor for Cover Styl’ South Africa.
Curtis also added that the company has a training school that offers a two-day course, with theory, sales training and practical work (in which learners are graded from levels one to five).
‘We have built up a certified installer network around South Africa. If you phone me and need someone in Durban, I will look at my heat map, search Durban, and can advise on an installer and their level of of training.’
Examples of Levels Include:
Level 2: the installer has passed the course, but has limited experience.
Level 3: the installer has just wrapped a store and did an amazing job.
Level 4: the installer has done a project of more than 500sqm.
Level 5: the installer has done more than 1000sqm.
