Colorscreen Launches Brother DTG Bulk Ink System In South Africa

Colorscreen has announced the availability of the GTX Pro Bulk System, which features optimal print height, reduced maintenance times, industrial white printhead design and high speed print mode.

Ink supply system

The cost-saving bulk ink system for high production quantities is available in 1.8 litre and 18 litre containers.

White printhead design

The white ink printhead technology for inside the printhead ink circulation results in less white ink waste.

Reduced maintenance

Less maintenance means no need for morning preparation anymore. The new cap design leads to a considerably shorter purging time. The larger colour sub-tanks are refilled during the printing process. It also features a print reservation function for higher productivity.

Optimal print height

The new sensor technology detects whether the distance from the printhead to the textile is too much and of course also if the textile could touch the printhead. There is also additional sensor for detecting whether the platen is too low, to reduce ink mist and assure print quality. The low sensor function can be disabled if required.

High speed print mode

The white ink printhead design allows the usage of more nozzles than previous models. This allows up to 10% faster printing with special print settings.

Other features

– Print method: direct inkjet garment printer.
– Ink type: water-based pigment ink.
– Number of ink heads: two printheads/eight ink channels.
– Print resolution: 1200 x 1200dpi.
– Ink cure heat press machine can be used at 180°C and 35 seconds duration. For higher volume production, a conveyor oven is recommended to be used at 160° for 3.5 minutes. Time and temperature may vary depending on which manufacturer‘s dryer is used.
– Pre-treatment: before printing, apply pre-treatment using either a manual or automatic device and then dry the garment using a heat-press, being sure to follow all manufacturer‘s instructions. Pre-treatment is necessary for white ink.
