CNC-Step showcased the HEIZ High-Z S-Series of Benchtop CNC Router/Milling Machines at the Sign Africa Expo, which took place from 22-24 August at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The machines are ideal for: milling, routing, 3D scanning, engraving, vinyl cutting, rapid prototyping, S Series instruments, T Series instruments, plasma cutting, CNC welding, PCB prototyping, circuit board drilling, 2D and 3D work, 4th axis 3D work and dispensing.
No specific CNC programming knowledge is necessary for the operation. You simply create drawings, model sketches, or texts in any drafting software. These can easily be sent to the milling machine as an HPGL-file via the supplied CNC-Software Win-PCNC.
With the High-Z 3D-CNC machines, you purchase an all-round talent. If you want to clamp or fix complex work-pieces on the work surface, or clamp work pieces in a bench vise, it is easily done in the bed area.
For engraving and drilling jobs, you can work on a flat surface, with a sheet of MDF fixed to it. Skim it once and you’ll be able to work with a depth precision of +/- 0.02mm.
