Canon has launched two new imagePrograf printers, the iPF670, a 60.96cm (24in) wide machine and the iPF770, a 91.44cm (36in) wide printer. They come with an optional large format scanner and 56cm (22″) touchscreen display attachment. Canon said both models can print an A1 equivalent image in 28 seconds in the fastest print mode.
New inks have been developed to provide an increased colour gamut, and specifically for more vivid reds for clarity in POS signage and CAD drawings. Two black pigment ink tanks supplement the standard dye inks. The tanks are hot-swappable, and can be replenished mid-print.
Other features include an accounting software that prints utility for the Apple iPad, so users can view and print files straight from their mobile devices and a stand design for easy switching between a basket or flat-stacking print output.
