Caldera has powered the SGIA Product of the Year winners to victory, with four out of five winners of the prestigious SGIA Product of the Year awards for output devices that were driven by Caldera’s market-leading RIP solutions.
HP’s Scitex FB500, the Durst Rho P10 250 and Mutoh’s ValueJet 1638 and ValueJet 2638 each impressed the judges in their respective categories – with help from Caldera’s own award-winning technology.
‘We are delighted to congratulate our partners on their SGIA Product of the Year awards,’ said Joseph Mergui, CEO, Caldera. ‘Some categories saw stiff competition, and so it’s a privilege for Caldera to have been the driving force behind nearly all of the winners. It is proof of how versatile and robust our software is that it is able to power wide-format machines of all sizes and a variety of technologies to success for these esteemed honors.’
With wins in both the ‘Grand Format Roll-to-Roll Solvent and Latex Inks’ and ‘Poster Size – Solvent/Latex Printers 244cm (96”)’ categories, Mutoh’s high-speed ValueJet series stole the show. Coupled with the streamlined performance of the Caldera RIP engine, the ValueJet 1638 and 2638 offer efficient production.
The HP Scitex FB500, the judges’ favourite of the ‘Flat-Bed – Rigid White Ink UV MSRP’ hopefuls, was described as ‘dependable’ and ‘robust’ by the panel, which also highlighted the ability to print and load media simultaneously. Multi-tasking is also inherent in the Caldera RIP and its powerful performance is the ideal partner for a workhorse like the FB500.
Durst’s Rho P10 250 took home the award in the ‘Flat-Bed – Rigid Substrate UV MSRP’ category for its ‘remarkable’ versatility, productivity and high-resolution output at 1000dpi, matched by Caldera’s RIP solutions.
