Caldera Releases Driver For Brother Printer

Caldera’s new driver for the Brother WF1-L640 printer expands CalderaRIP’s long list of supported peripherals for large format production.

After 15 successful years in industrial garment printing, Brother is entering the market in a new area with the latex wide format WF1-L640 printer. This new latex wide format printer is designed for a large range of applications such as banners, drawings, window graphics, storefront signage, trade show graphics, vehicle wraps and outdoor advertising.

Equipped with two Brother printheads, including one that prepares the media surface for the CMYK, the WF1-L640 produces fine, accurate results. The water-based Brother inks can achieve high colour depth and excellent results on a wide range of materials such as PVC, paper, canvas, wallpaper, and more.

CalderaRIP is a comprehensive RIP solution used by thousands of print service providers to enhance their productivity and colour output. Fully scalable, it fits print operations of all sizes, and manages a fleet of devices from one single, user-friendly interface to deliver coherent results no matter the application or substrate.

The company’s software embeds premium components to ensure colour accuracy across an entire fleet of printers. The integration of Adobe PDF Print Engine ensures a reliable reproduction of designs on any surface, while the outstanding X-Rite i1Prism Profiler helps users keep control over colours and ensure smooth gradients. CalderaRIP also supports white and varnish inks to deliver high-quality printed products.
