Caldera Announces Support For New swissQprint Printers

The fourth generation of swissQprint flatbed printers is now compatible with CalderaRIP Version 15. New drivers include the Nyala 4 and 4S, the Impala 4 and 4S as well as the Oryx 4.

CalderaRIP is the optimal choice to drive and make the most out of a user’s swissQprint investment. The multi-brand solution has already been adopted by thousands of print service providers around the world to tackle a variety of print and cut, indoor and outdoor applications while increasing their productivity. From True Shape nesting to tiling and double-sided printing, Caldera embeds a range of powerful prepress tools to manage large format projects while saving time, reducing manual errors and avoiding media waste.

The comprehensive RIP solution has been designed to streamline workflow and increase productivity without compromising on colour output and quality. Not only does Caldera come with the possibility to use white and varnish spot inks easily, it also embeds premium components for colour management. While the latest version of Adobe PDF Print Engine ensures the accurate reproduction of designs, the X-rite i1Prism Profiler embedded in the EasyMedia module makes ICC profiling easy for all users, in order to achieve smooth gradients and accurate colours on all types of substrates and across a print fleet.

Moreover, automation features can be deployed to speed up job submission and processing. For example, the Smart Hotfolders make it possible to process multiple jobs simultaneously to avoid bottlenecks and meet deadlines. Combine it with SmartImport to automate job submission into the software, save time and avoid unwanted errors. SmartImport is available for users with a CalderaCare subscription. Finally, the solution integrates seamlessly in any wide format Print and Cut environment.
