The Pinnacle InterTech Awards are sponsored by PRINTING United Alliance and recognise innovative technologies which are expected to have a major impact on the graphic communications and related industries. Barbieri electronic was honoured with the Pinnacle InterTech Award for its Spectro LFP qb textile edition, a spectrophotometer for large format and digital textile digital printing.
The ‘Spectro LFP qb Textile Edition’ is the unique spectrophotometer for automated colour measurement for digital textile printing including dye-sublimation and direct-to-garment printing. The technology comes with unique features for accurate, fast and reliable colour measurement on textiles.
‘The Pinnacle InterTech Award programme celebrates the inventiveness of suppliers and recognises technology advancing our industry,’ said Dawn Nye, programme manager, PRINTING United Alliance. ‘The judges had the tough task of singling out breakthrough innovations from many excellent entries. We congratulate all who participated and those who were designated with this award.’
The heart piece of the technology is the vision technology, a camera and software detect the centre of each patch to be measured and the measurements are done fully automatically in scan mode – even if the material is challenging to measure. This makes it possible to measure fully automatically and with highest precision and repeatability on any kind of textiles and fabrics.
‘Digital textile printing is a massively growing market, and we are committed to strive for constant innovation by listening to our customers and partners. The whole Barbieri team is proud to have been recognised with this honourable award,’ said Markus Barbieri, CTO of Barbieri electronic. ‘Our Spectro LFP qb textile edition supports customers to become top performers and improve and optimise their colour management and achieve highest colour quality on different textile materials.’
