Vaughn Repsold from Kacoon Vehicle Branding was crowned the ultimate winner of the Avery Dennison/Roland Speedwrap Challenge 2014 at FESPA Africa. He won a trip to FESPA 2015 in Cologne to take part in the FESPA World Wrap Masters Grand Final for the global title.
Repsold said, ‘It was great to have the opportunity to take part in something where I can express my passion and talent, the Speedwrap challenge was exactly that. Having won the challenge after seeing many people enter over the three days is extremely overwhelming. For Kacoon Vehicle Branding it is a big step forward and will definitely help us to get where we want to be in the industry. Representing South Africa in Cologne is a very big thing for me personally. I am going there with the correct mind set, and that is to make the sponsors proud. I am going there to win! From now until then I will be researching and testing materials and techniques. We are very exited and proud to represent South Africa.’
The challenge involved participants racing against the clock with 25 minutes to wrap a vehicle door to the best standards.
Judges included Lalit Palav, Technical Marketing Manager at Avery Dennison India, and Pooven Pillay, Sales and Technical representative at Roland.
