Agfa has launched two new true flatbed UV-inkjet printers that ‘set a new standard’ for print quality, flexibility, and productivity. The Jeti Titan HS and S models were shown to the public for the first time at C!Print in Lyon, France which took place from 4-6 February 2014.
The new Jeti Titan S (speed) and HS (high speed) both incorporate the latest generation of inkjet printheads in the form of the Ricoh Gen 4 with 1,280 nozzles. The Jeti Titan S features one row of printheads and is field upgradable to two rows, which Agfa said in turn would make it a Jeti Titan HS and double its productivity level.
Paul Adriaensen, Agfa’s press relations manger said, ‘The Jeti Titan S and HS are an unbeatable solution for high-value work like point-of-purchase (POP) viewed at close range or for the high-level art, fashion and cosmetics markets. The Jeti Titan S and HS are ideal for higher-volume or fast-turnaround jobs. They are designed to guarantee the highest accuracy in drop placement.’
The default set-up for both models is six colours plus white, with white printing supported on different modes including overprint, under-print, spot, and under-spot. Both devices also have a 2 x 3m true flatbed design, feature a prevision moving table, and allow users to print flexible media up to 3.2m wide.
